About Me
Get To Know
Teresa Fay, CNWI
NACSW ORT Judge | USCSS Judge | NACSW CO In training
I've spent my entire life in the Pacific Northwest, and I truly believe it's the perfect environment for Nose Work and dog sports. The varied weather and terrain make sniffing more engaging, challenging, and fun for both dog and handlers.
I have been involved in the exciting sport of Nose Work since 2014 and earned my certification as a Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) in 2022. I'm passionate about helping dogs and their people discover the joy, confidence, and teamwork that Nose Work fosters. In addition to teaching, I serve as Vice President of the NW K9 Sniffers Club and am honored to judge for several Scent Work Organizations.
Trialing journey!
I've been increadibly lucky to share my Nose Work Journey with some truly special dogs.
Reese (RIP), my beloved Pomeranian mix, proudly earned her NACSW NW1 Title, Tucker (RIP), my lab mix, achieved his NACSW ELT1 and USCSS DDCN X2 titles. Buddy (RIP), another Pom mix, had an impressive list of accomplishments including USCSS - DDCI & DDCN, as well as NACSW NW1, NW2. He was actively working towards his NW3 Elite title.
Today, I'm excited to continue the journey with my current dogs. Airiel, a spirited Pomerania, is now competing at the NW1 level, and Rainger, my 5-year-old Keeshond, has joined our Nose Work family and is beginning his own scent work adventure.

Community & Teaching
I love teaching Nose Work classes and seminars and sharing both knowledge and enthusiasm with fellow dog lovers. As the volunteer Coordinator for the Northwest K9 Sniffers Trials, I'm deeply committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment for everyone involved.
One of the most rewarding aspects of Nose Work is how it strengthens the bond between you and your dog. Through problem-solving and teamwork, trust grows, confidence builds, and the partnership deepens. Add in the incredable Nose Work community, and it becomes not just a sport-- but a truly meaningful experience.
